MWR6 Best Table Contest

Since the Table Contest was such an overwhelming success last year (GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!) it has to return this year! And again, it saves me from making all the tables. There are size restrictions on the terrain pieces this year, these are all listed at the bottom of the page. Also, just so there is no confusion, Warhammer at the Rampage is played on 6'x4' tables.

Ok, the requirements:

1. Tables are all being pre-rolled and you must do the table you are assigned. I will try to assign a table with terrain that fits your army (for example, a Wood Elf player might get assigned a board with several forests while a Lizardman player might get a board with water features, etc).

I'm negotiable. If you don't want to make a certain kind of terrain, let me know and I'll try to assign you a board without that type or very little of it.

2. You must provide all pieces of terrain for the board, be it as few as 5 or as many as 10. Each table will also need a Watchtower, though your Watchtower need not be themed to the table and is not required to be displayed for judging.

3. You are welcome to make a table cover but that is not required. In fact, if you request it by March 1st, I will provide a cover in a color you request.

3. The table competition is open to anyone, not just players. Staff may enter, as well as anyone who just feels like making some terrain.

4. Store bought pieces are acceptable, this is about both terrain making and the appeal of the table as a whole.

5. Judging will be done by attendee votes.

6. Up to 25 people may enter.

7. If wishing to participate, you must enter by February 15th. Sooner if possible so I know how many tables I have to make.

8. Terrain must be of acceptable quality. Hills should be made from foamboard or similar. Forests should have a hardboard base and at minimum 3 trees. Items must be painted and flocked or textured at minimum. No paper, cardboard or felt cutouts, etc. It isn't necessary to be professional quality (heaven knows mine isn't!) but it does need to be decent gamable terrain. This is a contest after all!

Now, the perks!

1. Cool awards! Plaques for:

Best Table

Best Theme

Best Single Piece

2. The terrain belongs to YOU! MWR just wants to use it for the weekend. After that, you have a new set of terrain for your own use! Though I might ask you to bring it again!

3. Automatic Display Board Points! Display your army on your table for paint judging and get full points for having a display board.

4. Home-Field Advantage - Round 1: If you make a table, you will be assigned to that table for Round 1. You get the advantage of knowing the terrain for your opening game.
