Best General |
A good general is not always the one who wins all of the individual battles...but he is the one who siezes the objectives required to ensure victory in the long term. To reflect this view of good generalship, the Best General award at the Midwest Rampage will be scored using the system described below. Table Objectives: On each table, in addition to the normal scenery will be two objective markers. The markers represent a person/item/bit of intelligence that can be captured and taken by a unit. The markers are to be placed before deployment. Each marker is placed by one player. The player places the marker on the opponents side of the table and rolls a scatter die and 2d6 and places the marker at the designated location. The other player repeats the procedure with the second marker. If a scatter result places the marker off the board, the marker is instead moved the distance on the dice in the opposite direction of the scatter arrow. Taking Table Objectives: The Objectives may be picked up by any unit with US 5 or higher and move with that unit. This unit may not be a Character, Monster, War Machine or Flyer. If the unit carrying the objective is destroyed by ranged attacks, the objective is placed where the center of the front rank was. If the unit carrying the objective is destroyed in Close Combat, or run down after breaking from Close Combat, the destroying enemy unit takes the objective. In the case of more than one enemy unit being involved, the enemy player chooses the unit to take possession. An Objective MUST be possessed by a unit at the end of the game in order to be claimed. Otherwise the Objective was lost in the chaos of the battle and neither side may claim it. Each Table Objective is worth 1 Best General Point.[Max 2 per Game] Battle Objectives:
Each Battle Objective is worth 1 Best General Point.[Max 2 per Game] If a player achieves all four Table & Battle Objectives in a single game they recieve 1 bonus Best General Point. Scoring Terrain is controlled in the same manner as controlling a Special Feature (WFB Rules, Pg 100). The player controlling more pieces of Scoring Terrain than his opponent receives 1 Best General Point. Battle Scoring: Each player receives the points list for the outcome of each battle:

Army Composition |
|
Player Scored Army Comp scoring is based on opponents pre-game scoring of your composition. Post-game score sheets allow for a slight adjustment to the composition score (ie, army didn't play as hard as it looked on paper, or vice versa). Organizer Scored Comp is back at the MWR 4. The WPS Comp Scoring System will be used. Organizer Comp will be worth 0 - 30 points. The WPS Comp System may be downloaded HERE |
